Changing rooms:  
Vajda János Gimnázium (Vajda János Secondary Grammar School), 9 Fő tér (Main Square)

Cloakroom:  
the bagged belongings are transported to the Lakeside, where the bags can be collected after the race. Bags are available at the changing rooms.

Toilets, Shower
You can use the mobil toilets in the Main Square and in the Vajda János Secondary Grammar School.
Thanks to the kind support of the Keszthely Municipal Utilities Ltd., entrants will be allowed to enter the Municipal Beach (Városi Strand), where they can use the showers in the building of the Island Bath (Sziget fürdő) free of charge.
The Municipal Beach (Városi Strand) is located directly next to the pier and it is open till 07 pm.

The start numbers will have different background colours, which will also be followed by the kilometre signs of the different events:
half marathon – yellow background
marathon – red background.

Routes / Kilometre Signs

The route is a round one with same turning points for the half marathon and marathon events. The whole length of the route is universally accessible.

Along the route the participants will run through the park of the Festetics Palace and along the Pedestrian Street (sétáló utca) and the Helikon Park. By the Keszthely Main Square there will be various children's programmes all day long; fun sports contests for families and running races for kindergarten and school children.

IMPORTANT
The above-mentioned level crossings in Keszthely and Gyenesdiás will be blocked for railway traffic, so crossing within the time limit is ensured.
Along several parts of the route half or the whole of the road will be blocked for traffic.
The above route is verified by GPS and certified by Péter Pignitzky, category 'B' surveyor of AIMS

USEFUL:
The kilometres will be indicated by signs placed at every kilometre at a height of 2 metres. Similarly to the start numbers the signs will also be of different colours. The kilometre signs for the half marathon will be yellow while those for the marathon will be red.

The START and the FINISH gate will be located in Main Square (Fő tér).

Marathon Relay - Relay Points

The relay point will be at the START gate at the Main Square (Fő tér).

The runners can have water, glucose, lemon, chocolate and Isostar isotonic drink at the stations.
Refreshment stations will be located at 5 points of the route along the lakeside and in the town centre.
Individual refreshments may be handed in at the race office till 09.30 with marking the number of the desired station.

Measuring time / Chips

Measuring times by chips will measure net time at the race.
No deposit is payable for the chip but they must be returned at the end of the race. Those who do not return it, shall pay HUF 5 000 as the chip’s price (one has to declare this in writing upon receiving the chip). Marathon relay teams will receive one chip, which can be attached to the runners' ankles by Velcro and has to be passed on to the next runner at the relay points.

The wheelchair, handbike races are free, no cost!

In the event of cancelling a paid registration, the entry will be officially valid for next year’s /i.e. 2013/ Keszthelyi Kilométerek race.

Participants under the age of 18 shall submit a duly signed document of their parents' approval upon entering the race.

The registration fee includes

- start and gift packages
- invitation to the pasta party in the evening before the race
- refreshments at the refreshments stations
- medical and police attendance
- time measurement by chips
- free admission to the municipal beach /Városi Strand/, shower facilities.

BY POST OR FAX:
Registration is done by legibly filling out the entry form and signing it. 
Participants under the age of 18 shall submit a duly signed document of their parents' approval upon entering the race.

The entry forms have to be sent to the organizers either by post or fax.
The receipt (proof) of payment by money order or bank transfer together with the entry form has to be sent by mail or fax to the following fax number: + 36 83 777 015.
The organizers can only accept entry forms which have been filled out legibly, signed and received at least one week before the race.

The results of the race will be available on the website from the following day.
Besides the absolute results the results will also be displayed according to the following age groups.

Prizes / Medal

Upon arrival at the finish each participant receives a gift package.

Our runners get a medal at the finish.

Our participants in wheelchairs or handbikes will receive individual prizes.

Runners in the following places will receive cups, medals and other valuable prizes. The various category results of individual participants will also receive prizes. In the relay the mixed teams are in the same category as the men’s teams.

Jury

The jury, which was appointed by the Hungarian Athletics Association, will supervise this qualification race and certify its results.
The chairperson of the jury will conduct the race, direct the work of the jury and decide in the case of any disputes.

Doctor in charge of the race

The official doctor of the race are Margit Dudás sports specialist and Dr. Judit Tóth anesthesiologist, intensive care specialist.
Before the race the race doctor's office will be open in the building of the secondary grammar school (Gimnázium).
The mobile doctor will dispatch the ambulance stationing on the lakeside to any case of injury or sickness along the route. In the tents next to the refreshment stations there will be paramedical staff, who will keep in touch with the mobile doctor.

Securing the route

Runners will have the right of way all along the whole route. So, along the stretch of the route within the town they will run on streets with a lane blocked off for them. The Lake Balaton bicycle road will also be reserved for the runners.
The level crossings in Keszthely and Gyenesdiás will be blocked for railway traffic, so crossing within the time limit is ensured.
The whole of the course will be secured by the organisers with the police directing the traffic in the busier junctions.

Parking / Road closures

Due to the complete closure of Main Square (Fő tér) parking will not be allowed there after 8.00 a.m. Nevertheless, parking will be possible in the neighbouring streets. There will be parking places designated for the race, where parking will be free. Please, consult the race map on the page.

Pasta party

In order to fill up your carbohydrate reserves we invite our participants for a pasta party on Saturday (26 May 2012) evening, where you will also have the chance to hear about racers' experiences.

Official condítions of participation

By filling out and signing the entry form or by registering online every entrant accepts the rules of the race and the authority of the jury and shall obey the rules of the race. By doing so, the participants declare that they enter the race on their own responsibility and that their physical condition is suitable for participation in the race. They shall inform the race doctor about any illness they may have, and should the race doctor consider it necessary, they shall accept being examined by him.

The Rules of the race

• anyone running without a start number or with a start number that is invisible or hidden or folded or taking their T-shirt off shall be disqualified from the race,
• leaving the course or taking shortcuts shall also be sanctioned by disqualification,
• participants not covering the whole distance, going off the marked route or behaving in any other way that is unfair towards the other participants shall be disqualified,
• those filling out the entry form incorrectly with untrue data or with information missing shall be disqualified,
• check points will be located along the race route, at which the race jury may check participants' passing and/or times,
• accompanying cars or bicycles may only be used by organisers,
• food and drinks for participants is allowed only at the refreshment stations,
• time measuring takes place in a chip system, which is included in the entry fee, so it does not have to be paid for extra,
• no deposit has to be paid upon receiving your chip, but anyone losing it shall pay HUF 5 000 to the organisers. In case of losing the chip and not paying for it, the organisers shall take legal action to receive the payment,
• for valuables and personal items lost at the race venues the organizers cannot take any responsibility,
• roller/inline skating, cycling, running without a start number or running with a dog is prohibited at the race,
• any commercial or advertising activity at the race venues is only allowed with prior permission by the organisers and in a way approved by them,
• for organisational reasons the organisers retain their right to limit the number of participants and/or to close the entry at any time,
• the organisers retain their right to change the route, the programme and the date/times.
